Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Property Maintenance Manager to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities for a portfolio of properties. This role involves managing contractor relationships, responding to repair requests, conducting regular inspections, and implementing preventative maintenance plans to ensure properties are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. It is an ideal opportunity for someone organised, proactive, and experienced in property maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and oversee property repairs and maintenance.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Conduct routine property inspections to ensure standards are met.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
- Serve as the main contact for landlords and tenants.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and compliance activities.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules to avoid future issues.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience:Previous experience in property or facilities maintenance and familiarity with contractor management is desirable. Experience with Fixflo software is a essential.
- Skills:Strong organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to think on your feet during urgent repairs.
- Qualifications:A degree qualification and a clean driving licence with access to a car are advantageous but not essential.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary:£20,000 to £27,000 per annum, with the potential to rise to £28,000 after the first year.
- Bonuses:Discretionary year-end bonus and a £500 bonus within the first three months.
- Hours:Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
- Travel:Company-paid season parking ticket and use of a pool car for work-related travel.
